The large juicing gears of the Super Angel Juicer are over 8+3/8 inches long and, unlike others, they have no plastic(screw) parts, being made entirely of high quality FDA approved food grade stainless steel. The precision engineering involved in manufacturing these gears offers the ultimate in breakdown of fruit and vegetable fibers and delivers the best possible nutrient extraction. These gears rotate at a lower speed(82 rpm) than other models, preserving nutrients and producing juices with a longer shelf life. Wooden pusher(plunger) is used for depressing most food, fruits and vegetables. Completely depress food into the feeding chute with the wooden pusher (but do not apply excessive force). Don't worry about the wooden pusher touching the twin gears; it will not harm the gears or the pusher. The pusher is made from the same high quality wood used to make fine chopping blocks. Any accidental particles of cellulose scraped off from contact with the twin gears are non-toxic and will harmlessly pass through with the pulp.

When soft fruit juicing, please take the time to put in small pieces of food, little by little, into the feeding chute. Since soft fruits have almost no fiber, their mushy pulp can easily clog the holes of the screen and cause a backing up inside of the feeding chute. When juice is backing up the feeding chute, please press & hold the reverse button for 3 to 5 seconds, after pushing the stop button, until it is cleared. We suggest inserting food piece by piece, one at a time, into the feeding chute, waiting until each piece is crushed down completely.
